What are the advantages and disadvantages of paper bags in a school?
instead of plastic bags, for clothes, food, and stuff like that

Advantage: paper will degrade quicker when disposed of.

Disadvantage:Paper bags are heavier than plastic. This means that they require more overall material to be harvested from nature.

Disadvantage: Forests have to be cut down to make paper, causing environmental destruction. Petroleum is still needed, to fuel the logging machines and transport trucks. Chemicals are needed to transform the pulp into paper.

A better solution is to re-use bags. This gets rid of both the need for raw materials and the production of waste.
