VW POLO problem with fitting a remote central locking upgrade?

I bought the Maplin Portman car alarm and tried to fit it onto my VW Polo 2000 W Reg. only found the central locking pump in the first aid kit place which was hidden at the right hand side of the boot. Is the pump where I should connect the upgrade kit to? and HOW?
and also anyone know where is the central locking control unit?

I’d suggest you ask a friend to help you – you should be able to tee into wiring at the front door solenoids or the central locking control unit.
