Another question …..? static port
When using the alternative emergency source of static pressure inside the cabin (no pressure) the altimeter may indicate higher real alt, then b / c the venturi effect of air flow around the aircraft ie the creation of low pressure -, and my question is pressure must be lower then in the cab – right? (High speed), but its actually lower inside the car – why?
The first answer is correct …. if the cabin is not pressurized, then the lower pressure outside the aircraft will attract high-pressure air to the cabin reducing the air pressure in the cabin, increasing the altitude of the cabin air, which makes it a little higher than the actual pressure on the altimeter.
