Anti Embolism

I worry about Pulmonary Embolisms?
Just to say, I have had an ecg couple months ago. Chest X-Ray, D-Dimer tests, blood tests. Had my oxygen level taken a few days ago, blood pressure is a little high, heart rate is normal. So why do I get that breathless feeling, tightness in my chest? I am on anti-depressants for anxiety. My doctor said all my tests were normal, heart, blood tests etc, My mum has asthma?
I seen a doctor today who I told I was afraid of Pulmonary Embolisms. She said It is almost impossible, not impossible but almost that I would unless I had blood disorder or cancer, in hospital etc. Then I started to read up on Pulmonary Hypertension and now am really panicking about my symptoms or am I making myself worse by reading all of this stuff and it’s just anxiety?
How rare are these things?
Okay, all of your tests were normal, except for a slightly elevated blood pressure. That happens a lot in doctor’s offices. People are nervous when they come in and their blood pressure goes up.
Pulmonary embolisms are quite rare. The only people that need to really worry about embolisms are trauma patients, people with blood clotting disorders, or patients that are bed bound. Pulmonary hypertension is also rare unless you have hypertension (high blood pressure over a long period of time) or excess fluid in the chest cavity.
My advice is to stop reading all the medical websites and consider yoga or pilates. Relax. You’re fine.
