Good Shoes or Affordable Solutions for Arch Support?

I can never seem to stand long periods of time with my shoes because my arches start to hurt and that pain moves up to my knee because my arches aren’t getting enough support. I know I need a new pair of shoes, but should I opt for insoles and get something affordable and cheap like Walmart shoes? or should I spend the extra money and buy a more expensive shoe?
