Should I be wearing a small or medium size for Under Armour Compression Shorts?

I’m 5′6”, 130 pounds and have a small body frame; I’m asking cuz I’m don’t know exactly how they should fit. I have a pair that’s a size small and it seems to fit well, but wonder if I should actually be wearing a medium. The bottom of the shorts come about four inches away from the top of the knee. Is that too small?
