knee problems and marching band?

I have started doing marching band this fall for high school, and when we started band camp, my right knee started hurting under my patella and sort of up the left side, i and walk on it, but sometimes it pops and cracks and feels really strange. i am pigeon toed so the roll step is kind of wierd for me and walking backwards on my toes is almost worse because i am locking my knee. i have done winter colourguard for two sseasons before and this hasn’t happened so i am sort of worried. please only answer if you actually know what i’m talking about.

The knee, believe it or not, it actually complex. It sounds as if you might have some tendon damage or meniscus damage. To be sure what the problem is you will need to see an orthopedic specialist and very soon. The reason for the quick appointment is that the damage is accumulative and this can reflect on your quality of life later.
