Seriously, Garnett is a much more reliable, solid player than Ben and Rasheed Wallace. We got beat so badly by Garnett yesterday. We went up 10 when Garnett sat down in foul trouble, then lost outright as soon as he came back in. I knew right when the score was 70-60 and Garnett was on the bench that we had lost the game. It was like an ice bath realizing he was there.

Sheed disappoints me, especially after last night. He had more fouls (5) than points (4), shot 2 of 12 and 0 of 6 from 3-pt range. He didn’t draw a single foul shot. Analysts love to talk about how talented Sheed is, but that talent isn’t worth anything if it doesn’t translate into production. You’re right about KG being more consistent than Sheed.

I don’t blame Dumars for not making that trade though. Detroit won a championship with the two Wallaces, and Dumars reasonably believed they could win another championship with the lineup they had.
