Beat Monitor Meter

Heart rates?
I noticed today that on the treadmill there were monitors for your heartbeat. Also a little graph showing how your heart rate and why kind of exercise you were doing.
After inputting my age and weight I started with warm ups and on the meter it said I was in warm up mode.
Going on to a slight jog and it went to ‘fat burning’
Further increase in speed put it into cardio level
When I was doing running however it went to ‘peak heart rate’ and lit up in red. It’s not as though my heart is beating that fast considering that I reach peak heart rate at 10kmph. But is it actually dangerous?
My heart rate reaches 175 bpm for it to reach ‘peak’ condition.
I’m 80kg and 170cm tall.
Ignore what it actually says on the machine…..
take 220 and subtract your age….tehn divide that in half to get the bottom of your target range….now take that 220 – x and multiple it by 75% and thats the top end of your target….
Those machines aren’t accurate for much, so disregard what it says for your heartrate – take it yourself (well, your pulse) and know what numbers are right for you
