Bed Shaker

My guinea pigs both Hate me!?
I’ve had them since April 3d. It’s just not going so well. I take them out for cuddles and broccoli every day. Just last Sunday they updated from their crappy petstore cage to a nice new c&c, (2 by 4).
I take them out for cuddles everyday. During this time, they sit on my lap they get comfortable and cuddly and more lately lie down, as if they love me.
However when I go into their cage, treat or no treat, gently or roughly, they run around like my one hand has it’s fingers around an oven dial and my other hand has a salt shaker. Do they hate me? Should I stop picking them up and just let them come to my bed for play time by leading them there with a ramp or something? Help!
PS. I hold them just fine.

Warp your guinea pig into a towel and lie it on your chest ( the sound of your heart beat is comforting to it) while you are watching TV, reading a book and listening to music, guinea pigs love music. Set it in your lap while you are on the computer, mu Miya loves the sound of the keyboard and purrs to it. Carry the guinea pig about the house with you as you do you day, guinea pigs adore doing your day with you.
After doing this for 2 weeks for at least 1 hour each your guinea pigs should be much calmer and look forward to spending time with you. Since you have 2 guinea pigs there is a chance they will always run form you when you try to pick them up , it is just the prey animal issues in them, they still want you to hold them.
