Why does my male cat walk around with the belt to my sweater meowing very loudly? We had him “fixed”.

He walks around with it in his mouth.
I forgot to mention it is a sweater material. Also at one point I picked him up to take it out of his mouth because I thought maybe it was caught in his mouth. I will just say he was “happy” so does that go with hunting??

That’s very normal…he thinks he’s hunted down and killed the belt!

I know, it sounds strange but our male cat has a pair of socks that he does the very same thing with…he LOVES his socks…LOL
He hunts and “Kills” them at least 10 times a day…he then walks around with them in his mouth.
Sometimes he drops them at our feet or in our lap…when he does that we always praise him for his “kill”…LOL
Cats are funny little critters!
