What should I do about these new lace up braces I got to play basketball in?

I sprained my ankle, so my trainer & doc said I need to get braces to help prevent ankle sprains, well it seems when i put them on & start playing, my ankles burn, and the inside of my foot on the bone hurts. Last game my trainer at school put a padding on the bone & taped it then i put the brace on, it helped but I still felt like a robot on the court & it still hurt. Any advice?

Same thing happened to me.. maybe u could lay off of it for a few days. ice it about an hour every day (in 10 minute intervals). This helped mine tremendously. =D but giving it a rest will do the best. *ha haa that rhymed* but maybe you just havent gotten used to it yet. use it a few more times.. it’ll start bending and allowing your ankle more room.
