Can you suck helium with braces? I heard something about brackets falling off from sucking helium. True or not?

I wouldn’t think so myself because if sucking on straws (you know, to drink) doesn’t hurt the brackets, then sucking on a balloon wouldn’t. But I wanna be sure. Or is it the helium itself that loosens the brackets? Anyone with braces sucked helium and has trouble? Anyone know?

no not true. brackets are chemically and physically cemented to the fronts of our teeth. some cements are easier to pop off than others, but generally, very strong.
plus there’s helium in the air we breathe right now. just make sure you brush and floss everyday. i know its a pain, but i’ve had kids remove their braces and stop treatment b/c of dental decay and gingivitis.
