Case Puppy Pads

Help training a puppy?
Shes supposed to be crate trained already from the breeder but when we put her in there she howls and crys like a banshee. We put a blanket over the kennel and completely ignore her but she goes on and on.
I bought her one of those puppy kongs to put in with her along with one of my shirts and a puppy pad in case of accidents but she licks through the stuff that goes in the kong in 5 seconds.
Im getting her biting under control but im having trouble potty training her too. When she goes outside she just sits and stares at me like im stupid saying “go potty” and even if she does go outside she’ll come back inside and go again in just a few minutes.
I really need some adivce and tips.
Well im not sure if its the being alone. When she was just a few weeks old another puppy scratched her eye so she had to be seperated and kept in a differant crate while the eye healed.
Welcome to puppy ownership!! You are not experiencing anything unusual. Your puppy is crying because of a couple things. She doesn’t like being alone…she is used to being with her litter mates and now she is all by herself. And, she wants to be with you. Putting things in the crate is good, but she will still cry. Either you have to ignore it and let her get used to it, or you can bring the crate into your bedroom next to your bed and continually remind her she isn’t alone. Housebreaking is a long process. You will just have to stay consistent and take her out as frequently as you can. Keep and eye on her in the house and watch her for signs of when she wants to potty. You can find some good books on training or even on the web. I would go out and look to see what would work for you and your situation. But, I do want you to know…these are questions that all new puppy owners have…so you are not alone! I would also look into puppy classes in your area. They can be very beneficial for you and your puppy too. Good luck!
