What is the easiest and cheapest way to move a wheelchair?

My disabled fiance and I are moving across the country. We don ‘t really need a uhaul, or any other type of a moving vehicle for anything except her power wheelchair. Now we really don’t want to spend easily over a thousand dollars to move, but she will need her chair.

How are you getting across the country? If you are driving, how do your transport chair ordinarily? If you are flying or taking the train – just take it with you. You can always pack up the chair and send it on a train or plane as cargo.
