Knee pain with biking – Solutions?

To give some background I have had a motorcycle accident about 5 years previously that messed up my right knee pretty good. I recently started bicycling again. I bought a new Schwinn that is designed for both off road and on road use.
I am having pretty severe pain after biking that is really effecting my job performance and walking ability. It’s a dull/grinding kind of pain that does not let up. I plan on calling my Dr. today to schedule an appt but I was wondering if anyone out there may know of a simple solution.
Also I have seen this advertised and was wondering if anyone had any luck with it helping.

A grinding pain like you describe is symptomatic of a bigger problem than seat height, etc….you need to see the doc.
