I am a nursing student. How I can use a stethoscope / sleeve?

I am a nursing student in my very strange during the first half taking pre-req. So I'm not in the nursing program again. But I bought a dual head stethoscope and BP cuff and tried to learn how use. The stethoscope does not work at all, their parties do not kno how to put together in the right direction. when I try to listen to your heartbeat, nothing. I have no idea how using BP cuff at all. I want to be ahead and learn to do these tasks in basic nursing. Step by step thank u very much appreciated
