Health coverage denied for pre-existing conditions that no longer exist?

The online form for health coverage asked about medications I’d been taking for the past five years.
Well I stopped taking those medications months ago when I stopped having those conditions!
Basically I was diagnosed with high blood pressure and diabetes when I weighed 180 pounds,. I now weigh 145 and self-testing with glucose meter and arm cuff shows I no longer have high blood pressure or diabetes. How can I get a health coverage company to note that my medical history is, in fact, history?

First off, all the insurance companies have access to databases about your medical history. So, the key word is honesty. Now, some companies have different underwriting requirements so it is good to talk to an agent about your issue. Give them all of the info and they can call the underwriters for a initial opinion if they will give you insurance or not. That way is easier to keep from filling out applications. If you get denied, depending on which state you are in, there are government plans to help you. It will take time to get through the application process, but it will be worth it.
