If your pregnancy test says its positive, but you still have bleeding, what does that mean?

Three different pregnancy tests all tested positive in one day. Period is supposed to begin on Monday (today is Saturday).

Bleeding in early pregnancy is quite common due to the embryo attaching to the uterus.About 25-30% of pregnant women experience some type of spotting or bleeding in early pregnancy. Many women who have this light bleeding go on to have normal pregnancies and healthy babies. About half of the women who experience some light bleeding will go on to have heavier bleeding that will ultimately result in miscarriage. Unfortunately there is no way to predict whether or not vaginal bleeding will progress to miscarriage. If you experience light bleeding that continues to get heavier, accompanied by painful cramping, back pain or stabbing pains, then you would want to seek medical attention right away.

Pregnancy tests are not 100% accurate. You can be pregnant but the test doesn’t pick it up. HOWEVER, it is extremely rare for the test to say that you are pregnant if you are not. You have to have the pregnancy hormone in your urine to make the test positive. If you were not pregnant, there are only a few things that could cause it, most likely you read the test incorrectly or at the wrong time, but with three positives You are more than likely pregnant.Congratulations and GL!
