Independent recommendations desired on the best digital hearing aids considering price and quality.?

Among quality hearing aids there is not a huge price variation. Some offices might charge more but offer a longer warranty or cheaper/free follow up service. Generally you get what you pay for. Quality digital aids will cost between $3,000 and $9,000 for a set. This price will change mainly due to the technology inside, the size of aid is less of a factor these days.

I work for Audibel at the moment, but this was not an accident. Having spend six years working for the two largest independent companies in the UK I had the chance to fit most of the major brands of hearing instruments and also see how patients were doing with their aids. To me Starkey/Audibel are hands down the best in terms of reliability and sound quality.

When I came to the US I called only one company and went to work for them. I had no interest in working for any other company. When I fit a hearing system I want my patient to be happy and tell others they are happy. I know when I fit an Audibel hearing system I will rarely have to deal with any problems.

No hearing aid system is perfect, and none are going to make you hear like you were 21. But if you need hearing aids make sure you deal with a reputable company, a good honest hearing specialist, make sure you get a free trial of the aids with no penalty if you return them. If they are not willing to do this for you, go elsewhere. Good luck.
