-2.5 gallon Marineland Tank (Rectangular Shape)
-Red Sea Deco Art Nano Filter (Hangs off of side)
-Marina LCD Digital Aquarium Thermometer
-API Stress Coat Plus (Fish & Tap Water Conditioner)
-API Tap Water Conditioner (Dechlorinator)
-API High Range pH Test Kit (Not The Test Strips)
-An Incandescent light cover
-A Ceramic Coral Reef thing and a plastic plant for decorations
-Estes’ SpectraStone(Fresh Water Aggregate)
-And Disgusting New Jersey Tap Water
>Possible Fish to be Kept in Aquarium
-Choice of Fish #1
~2 small goldfish or 2 small Guppies
Choice of fish #2
~1 Betta Fish or 1 Angelfish
[Ive tried setting up the tank and tested the pH of the water and came out to be 8.2-i know it is too high. I really want to make sure everything is right before i get the fishes]
I was a little unclear on the fish i plan to keep in the tank. I mean to only have 1 or 2 fish. I understand my tank is really small. And i have decided to keep one betta
You need to cycle the tank if you havent.

You shouldn’t get fish until a fishless cycle has been fully completed.
And none of the fish you listed could live in such a tiny tank other than a single betta. And 5 gallons is better. 10 gallons being better than that. With Fish Bigger is always better.

Goldfish do not stay small. Fancy tail varieties can get over a foot long and need 20-29 gallons per fish; common goldfish can get larger than 2 feet and need 75 gallons per fish.
Guppies are active, need groups or harems, and should be kept in at least 10 gallons.
Angels are aggressive, active, and large and need 30 gallon aquariums, preferably tall ones.
Take out the ceramic stuff and your PH may drop. Remember some fish like high PH levels, others don’t, be species or at least region specific.
