How can I clean the lens of a digital camera without damaging it? Picture quality looks kind of soft/blurry.?

Ever watch Saturday Night Live when Rachel Dratch pretends to be Barbara Walters and says, “Camera-man! My filter!” and then all of a sudden her face turns blurry? Well that’s what my pictures are looking like., so any cleansing advice is very much appreciated. =) I’d rather not purchase a whole cleansing kit, (though I will if I have to) but any safe home remedies would be the most ideal!

Unless the lens is really dirty, you should not notice the dust in the pictures. Blurry pictures are often caused by not able to lock the focus when the picture was taken or the shutter speed was not fast enough. I would try to take a few pictures in bright day light and see what happens.

For lens cleaning, you can use a blower to clean the dust. If it has finger prints, use a lens cleaning cloth from a camera store to clean it.
