At what age should one adopt a more conventional style of dress?
Lots of younger people wear all sorts of stuff and it’s not a recent thing, for years people have developed different dress styles as an attept to differentiate themselves from whatever the norm was at that time.
In your opinion, what is the maximum acceptable age that someone should have an “alternative” dress sense. Obviously, people should in general be smartly dressed for work, but in a persons own time, what do you think is the maximum age before they just start to look stupid. Obviously, there’s no legal limit, but what would you say is the socially acceptable age limit?
There isn’t (And Shouldn’t) be an ‘Age Limit’ on individual style – people of many different ages and cultures express their own sense of style.
As for ‘Age – Appropriate’ style, – That’s different and depends on how well the person(s) in question can “Pull-It-Off”. I’ve seen people wear clothes that were definitely not appropriate for them and others who looked great in the same outfit even though they were the same age or even older. (Or MUCH Younger)
