if i have a spinal headache (pdph) how many days do i have to stay in bed?

i gave birth five days ago and the anasthesiologist told me he accidentally punctured my dura and to expect a spinal headache. a blood patch was offered but i’m trying to get healed up without it. when i take ibuprofin, i feel well enough to get up and function, but i’m not sure i should. if i feel okay on meds, can i sit up, walk around a bit, and take it easy, or am i just making things worse? do i really have to lay in bed all day til its better?
