How I can control two transistor amplifiers with just a volume knob?

I have plans to do a stereo amplifier transistors just for my PC. I decided to build a pair of single transistor amplifier (left and right) to do so. but my problem was how to control volume. I do not want to use a potentiometer for everyone, because problems may arise in equilibrium (My ears are very sensitive to sounds.) He asked my teacher if I can put a potentiometer on the power to control whole system. but said that the whole system could fall if I do that. What I can control two mono amplifiers with a single button?

What is the source of the music? If taking stereo output of your PC, simply run a potentiometer that dual audio taper together, about 50 Ohms. Run cursor exits for two amplifiers. Another alternative is the construction of the two amplifiers in a box and put the volume control, along with the front of the box.
