what is considered a hallucination?
i have looked up some information on wikepedia and it says hallucinating includes seeing things out of the corner of our eye all the way up to full blown sight and sound visions. do you have to believe that these images are real to be truly hallucinating? what’s the difference between hallucinating and an active imagination?
i’m asking because i’m starting to realize that sometimes i have these experiences and other people don’t. they are sometimes very subtle. someone was describing to me what they saw when they were on acid…like bright colors or the pulse in their fingertips…(not three headed dragons or anything like that) and it didn’t sound much different from what i see when i am just really depressed or hyper or tired.
i’m not asking about acid… i’m saying, i experience what people on acid experience… but without being on acid. got it???
so, kt, i need psychotropic drugs… but drugs are bad for me? that’s kind of a paradox.
Your brain can tap into these things when you are tired. It is kind of like a pre-dreamish state. It is very real and it does happen. You are very sensitive and in tune to your body language. consider this a gift. Some people resort to lsd or physcadelic drugs to feel this sensation.
