Do I have to wear a custom mouth guard whilst training with braces?
Hi, I have braces and will start training BJJ. I visited my dentist today and asked how much custom mouthguard costs, and they said about £85, which is quite expensive.
So I was wondering if it is possible to buy normal mouthguards for braces instead of the custom one, will I be prone to more damage or will the normal one still do the job.
What is a good mouthguard brand aswell? (UK)

you can go with out one but it will be uncomfortable. my bff has braces and we both take karate and a couple of times since she does not have a custom mouth piece the wire has popped a couple of time. when i get braces i am getting one. my recommendation, yes
