Head Orange

What is the little orange plastic piece that came with my Head tennis racquet?
its probably a simple question to answer its just that im new to tennis. The piece is wrapped in plastic around the grip and it is the size of a quarter except its triangular and it looks like it can open. What is it?
It sounds like a shock absorber to me.
