Coping with pain in high heel?

I like high heels, but have many problems with them below. They are always uncomfortable for me (I have wide feet), even those who are really very comfortable, always end up being uncomfortable after some time. I really want a good decent pair of 3 / 4 inch heels, but his mission to get a good one. How to deal with the pain? I see girls wear them all the time and I do not understand how are not in agony!

I have 4 "heels every day for 12 hours at work. I am sitting most of the day, but standing or walking more half an hour wrong. I put gel pads, but not very helpful. A good way to reduce pain is to get a thick heel. It is a very thin. And I just walk pain. I think the most expensive and most comfortable footwear. Some girls like me, you can use as there is no pain, but not worth all that for me!
