is it ok to give a 74 pound 1 yr old german shepherd infant baby tylenol drops?

My vet Dr. sees nothing but $ signs & he wanted to presrcibe my dog a mild pain medicine which the front office lady told me was no more than baby tylenol. I would rather buy regular childrens tylenol for a lot cheaper is this ok?

No do not give your dog tylenol… tylenol is toxic to dogs and can cause serious liver damage, and even death depending on the dose.

The lady at the vet I’m sure meant the “dose” in terms of childrens tylenol, meaning that it’s not a high does of medication.

If your’e concerned about cost, mention this to your vet and ask if there are cheaper pain medications he/she can offer you.

Also, what is wrong with your dog that the vet is prescribing pain medication?
