How do the insoles of flats and heels get dirty toe and feet prints in them?

And how can i stop them from getting that way

I have the same problem Wicked Witch. Unfortunately, there’s not much you can do about it, other then cleaning them out once a week with a damp cloth. I think the problem doesn’t necessarily have to be that your feet are dirty, but that your legs get dirty whilst you’re walking. For example, I’m wearing a pinstripe pencil skirt to work today with a pair of red leather Prada stilettos. A couple of things you have to take in account: 1) I have a shower every morning and evening, so before I slip my feet into my shoes, they’re sparkling clean! 2) these shoes are closed, no peep toe and no open waist. Also, they don’t have a low vamp, so the dirt couldn’t sneak under the high arches of my feet. Knowing all that, they still have toe/heel imprints on them, despite all the earlier information. So my crazy theory, has actually to do with my legs. Although they’re washed in the morning and evening as are my feet (and the rest of me!!) they are not covered during the day. So my 15 mins walk to the train station, or when I go out for lunch or heading back home from the office, my legs are bare and getting all that horrid London black dirt on them, which you only see, when you use wet wipes on your face. Also you can tell when your pores get all black and gross, that it’s a particularly polluted day! So, you now have London soot on your legs and as you walk during the day, you’ll inevitably sweat, which basically means it runs down your legs in microscopic amounts and settle in your shoes, where your skin makes contact with the leather. (i.e. toes and heel). Or…. You just have dirty feet! LoL! If that’s the case, you should wash them more often! If they get sweaty easily, then for god’s sake dangle them as much as possible!
