I need a new controller for Invacare lift for my disabled daughter. PLEASE READ details?!

I an Invacare floor elevator controller which has the worst hand I can think of! It has 2 buttons. 1 up, 1 down. Instead of one at the top and one on the bottom (common sense), are side side and … the buttons are so low that I have my thumb right in the center of the button. Call me crazy, But I'd rather see my daughter when she goes up and down in the deep of having to look hand control to see where the buttons are located. I try to find another driver that has buttons mounted vertically with the buttons that are not indented. I worked in a factory 30 years there were about 1,000 lifts, 1 ton to 250 tons. Each of them had buttons mounted vertically. or ……. How I can change the driver to have those qualities? Thank you

First, see if an updated driver Invacare and if they do, what it costs. If you do not try to find a good electronic technology for building a box and put the guts of the old driver back into it with the buttons are used for industry. They are available in eProcurement straight home.
