2004 Dodge Stratus ES Trunk Lift Supports?

Do the Trunk Lift supports automatically opens the trunk all the way up? When i push the trunk button on the dash board the trunk only unlocks and do not open all the way to the top. I just recently bought this vehicle and i dont know if its normal for this model. I have own other vehicles that when the trunk its open by remote it opens all the way up. I do not want to buy new lifts supports if this its normal for this vehicle.

no they only pop it up so far,but they should help hold it up once its opened,we own two of those cars and neither one of them will actually pop the trunk up when the lever or truck release is used,good luck.
