Am I at risk for diabetes?

Today, my father made me take a glucose reading the tape drive with the blood. I am a man very healthy 16-year-old woman and I do not mean to boast, in great shape. I'm 5'9 and weighs 160 pounds. Bank and 225 max. I run track and play football, and my time is 4.6 40. Even with these figures, however, that sometimes I forget my strength sports, and I feel a little tired after the start. Never eat junk food, and when I say I mean rarely. I can chew sugar-free, (with small amounts of sugar alcohol) Goma almost religiously, and I do drink lots of water (in some days up to 7-8 bottles of water.) Anyway Anyway, my glucose readings of 151 very high, and now my family is worried about me. I like to eat fruit, of course, every day. Could the fact that I ate a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch Twenty minutes were a reason? Please help me, because these readings seems almost incredible …

If you start having symptoms of diabetes, such as weight loss or gain, fatigue, excessive urination, excessive thirst, then a trip to your doctor and a test of glucose tolerance may be in order. There is some evidence of whether pre-diabetic glucose unstable, your doctor may prescribe metformin and may help prevent full blown diabetes development if administered in the early stages.
