My Mom is in need of colostomy supplies and can’t afford them, where can she get ostomy supplies donated?
My mom had cancer of the colon and ended up with a colostomy 3 years ago. She needs supplies and can not afford them, and has no medical insurance now. She uses Hollister # 18142 (pouches) and # 14602 wafers. Also needs M9. (I don’t know if other types wold work too????) She lives in Tacoma Washington. Does anyone know of a place that donates supplies to people who can’t afford them? Thanks! Stefanie
Ok,there is a United Ostomy Association in Tacoma, Chapter 292
they usually meet in the Jackson Hall Auditorium at 314 Martin Luther King Way South, Tacoma Washington, across from Tacoma General Hospital
You can call 253 841 1532 for information about this support group.
Or email sstriz@hotmail.com
But for now, there is something called, Ostomy Supply Loan
Closet, and I would call there first and ask for some supplies
The number is 253 265 3314
Good Luck and your are a fine daughter, for helping your Mother.
