ok i am cycling a tank for a betta/paradise fish using an apple snail

Use silk plants, plastic tears fins and you don’t have enough light in there for live.

Apple Snails are not good to use to cycle a tank, they’re very likely to perish during the process, they do not do well through ammonia spikes. It’s safer to use fish food/cocktail shrimp/pure household ammonia.

FYI cycling a 2.5 gallon is fairly pointless as it’s such a small volume of water that as soon as animals are added it’s all going to go haywire anyway. It’s also still too small for a paradise fish and is the bare minimum for a single apple snail alone, it would be overstocked with a fish added as well.
