Why, given the current state of technology, not a glucose meter that provides accurate readings?

This morning, I followed all the instructions (washing hands with soap, dry well, etc..) Yes, my meter is calibrated. At 5:38 I was reading 134 on my right. At 5:40 112 left in my left hand. Then at 5:42 it was 120 on another finger on my left hand. I use a Precision Xtra, but it is the fourth brand I've used and others are just as bad too. It is not only of the mark precisely. My point is, if chips have been miniaturized and DNA testing we can not test blood glucose at least 1% accuracy instead of 10% or less than the FDA allows.
