Reusable Cold Ice

Have you used the frozen gel packs to transport food? Will it hold or keep frozen food cold for 2-3 days?
I need to transport liquids must be kept refrigerated / cold for 2-3 days by mail. I saw several reusable cold gel packs / Online, but it's hard to tell what really works. All they say is perfect for transporting food. I prefer not to use the powder ice.
Most thaw in hours, unless you use a shuttle service and outdoor refrigerated containers.
