Hole in the plaster above the shower – is it ok to use the shower before its fully fixed?

Hi, a bit of plaster fell off the bathroom ceiling, creating a small hole above the shower, the landlord came round today and has stuck something that looks like a peice of foam in the hole and used polyfilla round the edges and the small cracks around the hole. He’s coming back to finish it tomorrow and told us not to use the shower tonight, but I’m dying for one after work. I was thinking about taping a plastic bag over the hole to stop any steam/moisture getting in there, I’d been showering in there for 2 days while the hole was open. Would this be ok or would it create problems with the polyfilla?

hey…just take a quick shower! my gosh your not going to do any damage for a 4 minute shower…..do what you said and tape a plastic bag over the whole….take a quick shower and call it a day….
