Not allowed to drive. What can I get – an electric scooter?

I’m 30 but a medical condition prevents me from being allowed on the road, whether in a car, motorbike or even bicycle.
What if I get an electric or motorized scooter like the one Adam Sandler rides in his movie “Reign over Me” and ride it only on the sidewalk? Would it look very childish?
