I’m looking at a 2000 Redmond Manufactured home that is ground set on a lot. I see some cracks in the ceiling.?

Should I be concerned about these cracks? The ceiling has that popcorn stuff on it but I see cracks here and there. The outside of the home looks great and the inside is nice except for the cracks. The realtor said there were cosmetic but I want to make sure before I make an offer. Can anyone tell me why these cracks are there and if the are the sign of a serious problem? Thank you

I would suggest that you consider paying for a professional home inspection before you make your purchase. You will pay an inspector $300-$400 for a complete inspection of the homes systems. This would be a great investment for you, and if more serious problems with the home are uncovered it will give you some leverage on the purchase price, or if they are serious enough you may want to walk away from the entire deal.
