Stop cracked knee?

I have a sprained knee this summer (torn cartilage) and my doctor told me to drive my knee Meeting (Exercises like squats and other things) to the muscles back to normal strength. IVE juicing about 2 months and my leg is about the same size as my other leg, but my knee still cracks. My doctor said that the cracking should disappear when the stabilizing muscles be increasing, but the crack is still the same. Is there ná I can do or am I screwed up the juice out of life? it still hurts when it breaks if difficult to do leg extensions, squats but I'm doing well cogens
