Dr/Nurse with a stethoscope?

How normal is it for a Dr. or nurse to put a stethoscope down their patents shirt?
Or do they normally listen above the shirt?
Is it OK for them to ask you to move or take of my bra to listen?

It depends on what you’re at the doctors for.The doctor will want to put the stethoscope against your chest and not against material as it can affect the noises that he/she hears. Therefore most will either put in under your clothing or ask you to remove it.

As far as the bra goes only in exceptional cases should you be required to remove that, i.e. chest xray
