My friend thinks not washing your hands will strengthen your immune system?

Well he assumes that it will make his immune system stronger and better able to fight disease. I know this isn’t the case, so how does this idea work? Also what would happen if you never were exposed to disease and them exposed to a virus or bacteria?

Perhaps your friend would like to come to my hospital and test his theory. He may be thinking along of the lines of homemade immunization or something similar but vaccines use dead/inactivated or attenuated (weakened) viruses and bacteria and he want to take on a fully functioning and potent organism. Uh-h-h-h, not a good idea.

As to your second question, we ALL had a time before we were first exposed to viruses and bacteria. It’s called childhood. And you know what happened? We got sick.
