How much Weight can it Support?

I have a 10 metre ethernet cable. I’m going to try and lift something up with it by tying it onto the cable. The thing I’m trying to lift is about 10 to 15 stones. Will the cable be able to hold the weight and how long for?

there is nothing in the ethernet cable specifcation about tensile strength….its not meant for that.

10-15 stone……thats like 200kg? 220lb?

ethernet cable comes in a wide variety of diameters, insulation cover, etc. 30′ of it ? aabout 100 lbs approximately.
