Need good brand of HEAVY DUTY ankle support for trailrunning?
I trail run 4-5 times a week. … on steep slopes, over roots, rocks, streams, etc. deep in the woods — about 15 miles a week.
My left ankle can bother me sometimes…I have been exercising my ankles to prevent against strain and injury, but I need a good strong ankle support or wrap that I can wear while running to prevent my left ankle from rolling out. Ace bandage is TOO wimpy…. Any recommendations on a brand name that is made to be worn while running – won’t chafe yet is sturdy? I wear appropriate NB trail running shoes with a higher padded collar…

you could try basketball ankle supports, meant for keeping the ankle from collapsing while landing on awkward surfaces
