Who provides the genetic code of the blood of a child?

I heard a radio interview with a medical delivery, including if both parents contribute to their chromosomal composition of children in the design, the blood (the code or components that produce blood in the new person) comes from father and mother. He was not talking about blood type, but the production of his own blood. He said it was scientifically possible that the blood coming from his father. ? Oops. The last sentence should have said "mother" is not the father.
