Helping physical therapy two bones that are not merged?

I have back pain. I went to the doctor and had an x-ray. Said my tail bone (sacrum) and my lumbar spine does not melt. My doctor suggested physical therapy. How the hell PT help with two bones that are not merged? Are there other methods? Please list the sources. Thank you all for your help!

According to your description, I guess you have found to have an L-6 vertebrae … is an anomaly where the first sacral bone does not fuse with the rest and is called a lumbar vertebra in place. That will largely depend on the approach of the physiotherapist used. Most likely, the PT will teach you exercises to "stabilize" your "core muscles" to compensate for the increased mobility is said to occur with the L-6 anomaly.
