Toddler Baby

Have you seen the third person when talking to your baby or toddler?
When talking with your baby or toddler, you talking about himself in third person or first person? Is it "Mom needs this or that" or "need this or that" Why use the perspective of what you do?
I read somewhere that it was better to use the third person because of grammatical complexity is difficult for a child to understand. But to remember and use "I" However, recently I realized that my 16 months has been saying "mama"! Still says "dada" but when he speaks, either using their words or their children, who never speaks to me as the mother, even agitated. Error ago, I thought it was a little weird and I wonder if it is related with the fact that I never do, "Mom do lunch now" thing.
