Aren’t diapers really like regular underwear except they’re soft and absorbent?

I wear diapers sometimes because I accidentally pee my pants about half the time. Some people I know think anyone who wears diapers is a baby. That is not true, because people of all ages wear diapers. The only thing that is different about them is that you can pee in them and your pants don’t get wet. Also, they open and close easily. Other than that, aren’t they really no different?
